Suppliers and installers

On Roraima, people who rent out rooms, homes and spaces find the devices the platform supports and someone who can install them in their area. If you sell these devices, install them or do both, you can register as an Authorized Supplier and place your offers right where people look for them, with payments going straight to your own account.

Who buys on Roraima

Running a guesthouse, a padel court or a coworking space with Roraima takes devices the platform can control, such as the lock that receives the guests' codes, the relay that opens the gate or the plug that switches on the washing machine. The site gathers them in a catalogue of supported devices, with a page for each one, and the page of every device that needs installing also lists the services that suit it. Either way, the customer chooses among the offers of Authorized Suppliers in their own country.

If you sell the devices

The page for each device is already in place, with photos, a description and the manufacturer details required for product safety. You add your offer, meaning the price including VAT, the quantity you have in stock, delivery costs and delivery times, and buyers in your country see the best offer first and can open the others too. If Roraima enables you to sell in other EU countries as well, you can set a different price for each of them.

In your profile you state just once the address for returns, who pays for return shipping when a buyer withdraws from a purchase, and any commercial guarantee you offer. The buyer reads this information on the device page before buying and finds it again in the order confirmation.

If you install them

The installation services are already described too, one for each type of job, from fitting a flush-mounted or DIN-rail module to installing a smart lock or a thermostatic valve, through to the site survey with the commissioning of the system. For each one you want to offer you set your own price, and separately you set a call-out fee by area, which the customer pays only once even when they give you several jobs.

How far you travel is your decision, made by entering in your profile the maximum distance in kilometres from your base. The customer gives their address, and only people within that distance see and buy your offers, so every order you receive is for a job within your reach.

Your installation offers reach people who live within the distance you have chosen.

When there is commissioning to do, or a repair months later, the owner of the property can give you permission from their panel to view and test their supported devices, and removes it once the job is done.

The business software you already use

The prices and quantities of your offers can update themselves from a Google Sheet, from a file published at a web address, from Danea Easyfatt or from your own business software, and whenever you need to you can upload a file by hand. Orders travel the other way, to a file you download or to your software, and the carrier's tracking numbers can come back from there. The customer then receives the shipping notice in their own language.

How payments reach you

The customer pays by card into your Stripe account, the service used to accept card payments, at the very moment of purchase. The transfer to your bank then follows your account's payout schedule, which you can see and manage yourself from the Stripe dashboard.

The Bravo plan for Authorized Suppliers is free, and what the buyer pays, delivery costs and call-out fee included, reaches you in full, less the card network's fee. The commitments between you and Roraima, including those on returns and guarantees, are set out in the Authorized Vendor Agreement, which you accept when you register.

What you need

You need a business with a VAT number in one of the twenty-seven countries of the European Union. In the registration form you choose whether you sell, install or do both, and you state the country where you work. If you install, you also sign a declaration in the panel confirming that you are qualified to do so under the laws of that country.

Roraima then looks up your VAT number in VIES, the European Union's database of VAT numbers, and if it finds it you are enabled straight away. Otherwise you upload an official document that shows it, such as your VAT registration certificate, and we check it ourselves. Finally, to get paid you connect a Stripe account, where you enter the details of whoever receives the money and the IBAN directly, and from then on you can publish your offers.
