Roraima Vendor Guide
Connected portals
What this page is for
Connected portals lists the calendars of the booking sites that you connected to your listings, with the state and the last update of each. Roraima reads them at regular intervals, so a night already taken on a booking site is not sold again on Roraima.
Use it to find out quickly which calendar is not working. Until a calendar works again, Roraima receives neither new bookings nor cancellations from that booking site, so a night sold there can still be offered on Roraima.
The page is for reading, with one quick action, Sync now. You connect, pause, resume and remove calendars in the External calendars tab of each listing, described in Booking configuration.
Menu path
Vendor Back Office → Calendars → Connected portals
It is the second item of the Calendars section, under Calendar. The section appears for Owners and Managers.
A number followed by an exclamation mark beside it in the menu, as in (2!), counts the calendars that are not working. When some are not working, a red notice at the top of the list of bookings shows how many, with the button Open the connected portals (Manage bookings).
What the page shows
Two figures open the page: Connected calendars and Not working. When a calendar does not work, a red notice says how many, and that until you fix them Roraima receives neither new bookings nor cancellations from those booking sites.
The calendars that do not work come first in the table, marked in red. The paused ones come last.
| Label | Purpose | Instruction | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Listing | Names the listing and the calendar. | Press the listing's name to open it. | The row also gives the unit and the name you gave the calendar. A calendar that does not work shows the reason in red, for example "The external calendar could not be read. Try again later." |
| Booking site | Says where the calendar comes from. | Nothing to enter. | Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo or Other. |
| Status | Says whether Roraima is reading the calendar. | Nothing to enter. | Active, Paused or Failed. Consecutive failures and their number appear under the state when the last readings failed. A paused calendar says: "While paused, Roraima receives neither new bookings nor cancellations from this booking site. Bookings that have already arrived stay, with their dates and door codes." |
| Last sync | Shows when Roraima last read the calendar. | Nothing to enter. | Never synced until the first reading. After it: the date and time, the result (Successful, Partial, No answer, Access refused by the booking site or Error) and the number of dates read. |
| Sync now | Reads the calendar again. | Press it. | Only for an Active calendar. It acts as soon as you press it and brings you back to this page. |
| Open the listing's calendars | Opens the External calendars tab of the listing. | Press it to pause, resume, remove or add calendars. | Always shown. |
When a calendar does not work
Read the reason in red under the calendar's name, then press Open the listing's calendars to reach the External calendars tab of the listing.
- A Failed calendar offers Resume there. Roraima then reads the calendar in full and picks up the bookings, changes and cancellations that arrived in the meantime.
- An Active calendar that shows a reason in red can be read again at once with Sync now, here or in the same tab.
- If the reason does not go away, ask the booking site for the current calendar link and check it. The link of a calendar cannot be edited: you replace it by removing the calendar and adding it again. Remove cancels the bookings that came from that calendar and frees their dates, except stays that have already started, so read the confirmation message before you confirm.
A Paused calendar is waiting for you: it stays paused until you press Resume in the same tab.
If you have not connected any calendar
The page says so, and Open listings takes you to your listings. To connect a calendar, open a listing and go to its External calendars tab.
If you are a Manager
As a Manager you see only the calendars of your own company: the calendars of the Owners you work for are managed from their own accounts, and the page says so.
Conditions
The page changes nothing by itself. Sync now acts as soon as you press it. The other actions are performed in the External calendars tab of the listing, where Pause, Resume, Remove and Add external calendar also take effect on their own, without the listing's Save.
