Options

What Options are for

Use Options when the buyer must choose between alternatives for the same product. For example, a short-term rental can offer breakfast as Included or Not included.

An option is not a separate product. It is a choice attached to the product being edited.

Menu path

Vendor Back Office → Listings and structures → Listings → select the listing you want to edit → Options

The first screen lists the options already attached to the product. Open an existing option or use the add control to create one.

Option list

The list is the starting point for creating, opening or removing an option. Use Forbidden combinations only when two or more option choices must not be selected together.

After opening an option, the editor contains two inner tabs: General and Variants.

General tab

Use General to name the option, choose how it appears to buyers and decide whether a selection is required.

Storefront name is the wording buyers see. Use Edit below Name when the customer-facing wording should differ from the internal name.

For a booking surcharge, enable Charge per night only when the modifier must be multiplied by the number of nights. Otherwise the modifier is applied once per booking.

Variants tab

Use Variants to create the choices available for the option. Each row can have its own position, name, price modifier and status.

Expanded variant controls can also provide an icon, weight modifier and earned-point modifier. These are optional and are not needed for a simple service choice.

Example: breakfast

  1. Create an option and set Storefront name to Breakfast.
  2. Choose Select box or Radio group.
  3. Open Variants.
  4. Add Included and Not included.
  5. Set each required variant to Active.
  6. Add a price modifier only if one choice costs more.
  7. Enable Charge per night only if that extra price is charged for every night.

Save the option

Use Save inside the option editor after completing General and Variants. Then return to the product and use its main Save action if the product page still has unsaved changes.

Fix common problems

If buyers see the internal name, add the intended Storefront name.

If a choice cannot be selected, confirm that its Status is Active and review Missing variants handling.

If a surcharge is too high on multi-night bookings, check whether Charge per night was enabled unintentionally.
