Roraima Vendor Guide
What a product represents
The meaning depends on who publishes the offer
Roraima uses the word product for offers that work very differently. Before following any configuration instructions, identify who is publishing the offer and what the Buyer will receive.
In the Vendor Back Office an Owner's products are called listings and are managed from Listings and structures → Listings. An Authorized Supplier's offers stay under Products.
Owner: the service being offered
An Owner creates and configures a product for the service being offered to the Buyer.
An Owner creates products of three types. Two of them are something the Buyer reserves: nightly accommodation, and spaces or services by time slot. A stay is booked by the night; a rentable space, an asset or a service such as a court or a meeting room is booked by the time slot. The third type, equipment and spaces by time or by use, is not reserved at all: the Buyer buys the use of a washing machine, a sauna, a shower, a car park or a gate whenever they want, and starts it on site. The product's category determines which configuration applies. For the two types sold by time slot or by use, the Owner also states what the product offers, such as a parking space, a court or shared equipment.
When the product belongs to one of the two booking categories, Nightly accommodation or Spaces and services by time slot, the Owner also defines availability and booking rules. Optional IoT controls may support that booking. A smart lock can provide access during a stay, for example, but the product remains the service being booked.
When the product belongs to Equipment and spaces by time or by use, there is no calendar. The Owner links the product to a structure, chooses whether it is sold by time or with tokens, and decides which devices or programmes the Buyer uses. The Buyer starts the service on site by scanning a QR code; the devices are the way the use is delivered, not what is being sold.
Installer: an installation offer
An Installer offers one of the installation services made available in the Roraima marketplace.
The installation service itself is predefined by Roraima. The Installer publishes its own commercial offer for that supported service. The product therefore represents that Installer's offer to perform the selected installation, not a new service category created by the Installer.
Seller: an IoT device offer
A Seller offers one of the IoT devices made available in the Roraima catalogue.
The device entry is provided by Roraima so that Buyers can compare consistent items. The Seller publishes its own commercial offer for that device. The product represents the Seller's offer, while the underlying device remains the common catalogue item.
What Both means
An Authorized Supplier approved for Both can publish installation offers as an Installer and device offers as a Seller. Each offer still follows its own path. A device does not become an installation service, and an installation service does not become a device.
Keeping an Authorized Supplier offer up to date
A connected management program can update the price and active status of your existing offers, and the available stock and prices by country of device offers. A device offer has a base price and can have a different price for each European Union country where the Seller is authorized; installation services keep a single price. An installation service has no stock quantity. The connection does not create catalogue items or new offers, and it does not manage bookings or orders.
Your company chooses one automatic update method at a time, either a management program or a CSV or Google Sheets connection. Manual CSV imports remain available. Authorizing a program gives it permission to access offers, but you also choose it as the automatic update method before it can send changes. This permission is separate from a connected AI's permission.
Disconnecting a program stops its access immediately. A file or spreadsheet connection that was disabled when you selected the program stays disabled until you choose and enable it again. For device stock, check how your management program counts sales on Roraima before using it for automatic updates.
What the Buyer receives
A Buyer does not create or configure products. The Buyer:
- buys or books the service published by an Owner, according to its configuration;
- purchases an installation offer published by an Installer; or
- purchases an IoT device offer published by a Seller.
Examples
| Publisher | Example | What the product represents |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | One hour on a tennis court | The bookable time slot in Spaces and services by time slot |
| Owner | A two-night stay with smart-lock access | The bookable stay in Nightly accommodation; the lock access supports it |
| Owner | A washing machine cycle | The use of equipment in Equipment and spaces by time or by use; the device that switches it on delivers the use |
| Installer | Smart-lock installation | The Installer's offer to perform a supported installation service |
| Seller | A smart lock available in the Roraima catalogue | The Seller's offer to supply that catalogue device |
Before you configure anything
If you are an Owner, continue with Categories and product behaviour and then Product configuration.
If you are an Authorized Supplier, start from the matching IoT device or installation service made available by Roraima. Do not create an unrelated catalogue item.
Creating or saving an offer does not make it ready for sale by itself. Keep the company details complete, select the VAT rate for the offer's activity and finish the configuration required by its category. If the offer remains unavailable, use Manage products to identify the visible requirement and activate it after the requirement is resolved.
